2006 Fall Conference

On October 14, 2006 three sisters, President Sandy Coe, Secretary Linda Chamberlain, and Chaplin Mary Reeser attended the Fall Conference held at the Holiday Inn in Liverpool. What a wonderful time as well as a great learning experience it was.

The most moving and memorable part for me was when we helped to fold small pocket flags. This is a special project for the pocket flags to be shipped overseas to our soldiers and worn in their pockets so that everywhere they go they will carry a little piece of home.

After the meeting on Saturday a luncheon was held where the Auxiliary Ladies all dressed up for a Poppy Fashion Show which we entered and took third place. "Heehaw", Not bad for first timers!! We made our shirts in the Auxiliary royal blue color and with the snowflakes we were "glistening with Pride", and we also made our accessories of poppy head dress, earrings, bracelet, pins and lei. Please see the attached photo's.

What a wonderful chance it was to speak with other posts from all over the state and exchange ideas for the betterment of the organization. We are already looking forward to next year.
